AUDITIONS FOR A TERRITORIAL CHRISTMAS CAROL

DEADLINE: MARCH 4th, 2023

Auditions Deadline:  Saturday, March 4th at 11:59pm

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Headshot, Resume, & Sheet MusicEach performer is required to perform 16 bars of an “upbeat” song for their audition. An accompanist will be provided.

**Note: Due to time constraints, the director(s) may stop performers before the end of the full 16 bars.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

The director is looking to cast ALL ROLES.
AGE RANGE: 16 – 45

 

The directors will see performers of any race, socioeconomic class, color, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, neurological or physical ability, and education level.

120 W Harrison Ave, Guthrie OK 73044

 

ADULT AUDITIONS: Saturday, September 9th at 6:30pm

CHILD (16 & Under) AUDITIONS: Sunday, September 10th at 3:00pm
CALLBACKS: Sunday, September 10th at 5:00pm

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Headshot & Resume

 

Each performer is required to perform a monologue, given their audition does not exceed 3 minutes in length.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

The director is looking to cast ALL  ROLES.


The director will see performers of any race, socioeconomic class, color, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, neurological or physical ability, and education level.

 

CHARACTERS (8)

 

Seymour Krelborn

An insecure, put-upon florist’s clerk and eventual hero.
He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills.
Age: 25 to 35
 

Audrey

Bleached-blond, Billie-Dawn-like, secret love of Seymour’s life.
She has poor self-worth and education, but incredibly good looks and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor.

Age: 25 to 35

Mr. Mushnik

The seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour’s nosy boss.
He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative.
Age: 55 to 65

Orin Scrivello
An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies.
Audrey’s abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour.
Age: 30 to 40
 
Voice Of The Plant

An actor/vocalist located offstage. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart ‘villain.’
A funky Rhythm and Blues voice is best.
Age: 20 to 50

Crystal
Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon serve as a Greek Chorus.
Young, hip, and smart, these girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality.
Age: 20 to 35

Ronnette
Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon serve as a Greek Chorus.
Young, hip, and smart, these girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality.
Age: 20 to 35

Chiffon
Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon serve as a Greek Chorus.
Young, hip, and smart, these girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality.
