The Pollard Junior Players is dedicated to inspiring children through the shared activity of art. Our mission is to cultivate a deep love for theatre, both on and off stage, by guiding every child to discover joy and creativity in all aspects of the performing arts. We strive to foster a supportive environment where young artists can explore their talents, build confidence, and develop a lifelong passion for collaborative storytelling.
The focus of the Pollard Junior Players After-School Program (or The PJ’s) will be on the creation and execution of a “Showcase Production”. Much like a production at the Pollard Theatre Company, the show is the goal. During the 12 week program as the students strive towards the final performance, elements of the Showcase will be addressed. The performance aspects of acting, singing and dancing will take center stage, but every production has some element of the technical. Sets & Costumes, Lighting & Sound, Properties & Special Effects will also be a part of the curriculum of the Pollard Junior Players, as they relate to the Showcase.
The Pollard Junior After-School Program is a twelve-week course that runs Wednesdays, 4pm-5pm, through the months of February - May.
