James A. Hughes

James A. Hughes first appeared at the Pollard in Someone Who'll Watch Over Me as Edward Sheridan. Roles since have included Tom in The Glass Menagerie, The Mute in The Fantasticks, Mike in Wait Until Dark, Otto in The Diary of Anne Frank, Boolie Werthan in the Pollard Stage Center production of Driving Miss Daisy featuring Earle Hyman, R.P. MacMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Jesus in Godspell and George in La Cage aux Folles. Directing credits include Quilters, Guys & Dolls and The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Choreography credits include Chicago and The King and I. Design credits include set for Into The Woods, Little Shop of Horrors and Once on this Island. He studied Costume Design at Oklahoma City University, where he designed several productions including The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
